Session Registration and Requirements
How can I register for a session? Pre-registration is required and can be done through our website’s registration page to ensure appropriate facilities and group structure. To register, go to our website: www.GoodGriefRochester and hit the Register button. Fill in the info and the Founder will personally review each registration for being a “fit” for the material we are presenting. Once approved, you will get a confirming email with meeting time and location specifics.
What are the requirements for attending? The sessions are designed for adults who have experienced a loss within the past four years. If you are receiving formal therapy from a licensed professional, we encourage that you share your intent to sign up with us first to ensure that the therapist’s goals align with our program. Your therapist’s recommendation always takes priority.
Participants are encouraged to commit to all six sessions for the best outcome. No children will be allowed to facilitate full focus and respect. Participants must read and sign a Conduct Guideline document on the first day. Every participant will be expected to maintain confidentiality, safety, respect, and no judgment. Any deviation from that will result in an immediate dismissal. This is a safe place to be.
Is there really no cost? True! There is absolutely no cost for anything. However, we do ask for modest donations as you are able, to cover the facility rental charges. A donation box will be near the door. If we collect enough, we can then offer refreshments. All donations will go for the participant’s need — nothing to the program director, support volunteers or speakers.
